Student organizations recruit members

UTSA held the Involvement Fair on Sept. 6 under the Sombrilla on the Main Campus. There were over 100 organizational booths ranging from cultural groups to organizations focused on technology, health, fighting famine, sports and science.

Various student organizations handed out treats along with information about their organization. Other organizations, such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE): Robotics and Automation Society, had games available for students to play.

Tali Duarte

Tali Duarte is a third-year English major working toward earning her teacher certification. She has spent the past year contributing her creative ideas and quirky writing to The Paisano Plus. Outside of The Paisano, Tali is an active member of the national sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and a server at Chuy’s. Balancing a busy schedule, she takes advantage of her free time by playing flag football with her sisters, watching foreign films or breaking fights between her cat and dog. Hoping to further her experience at The Paisano, Tali is eager to put all her ideas into action.
