Effective immediately, all spring sports have been canceled by Conference USA (C-USA) due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the U.S. UTSA athletics announced it is suspending all non-conference sports until further notice.

“All UTSA sports programs that are in season may continue to hold practices and other team activities,” UTSA Athletics announced in a statement to the UTSA community. “As of March 12, practices and other team activities for UTSA sports programs that are not in season will be delayed until March 23.”

C-USA also announced that the remainder of the 2020 C-USA Basketball Championships will be canceled. Additionally, on the first night of tournament-play, C-USA announced the remainder of the tournaments would be played without fans.

The C-USA joins a list of other conferences like the Big XII, ACC and SEC around the country that have canceled their conference basketball tournament play for men and women due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
