With only eight wins the previous season, UTSA women’s basketball doubled that in their only season playing in the WAC with a 16-14 record and a 10-8 WAC record. The Roadrunners earned a No. 4 seed in the WAC tournament but were surprised by fifth seeded Louisiana Tech as they were eliminated in the first game 85-68 to end the season.

“I was excited with how we came into the gym and worked hard on improving ourselves every day and that really contributed to a successful season. We had such a balanced team this year on the offensive end and I’m proud of our toughness that made our group so difficult to score against,” UTSA women’s basketball coach Rae Rippetoe-Blair said. “It really was a joy to coach this team and I will miss our senior class, who I know will be successful in its future ventures.”

The Roadrunners finished the season leading the WAC in scoring defense at 60.9 and will look to better their efforts in Conference USA with sophomore Kamra King who was selected to the All-Western Athletic Conference third team.
