Andrew Hubbard

Welcome to UTSA! My name is Andrew Hubbard and I have the honor to serve as your Student President. Whether you are here for the first time as a freshman or transfer student, or you’re returning a little older and a little wiser, now is your time to get involved. Getting involved on campus means, making friends, it means stepping outside your comfort zone, and it means becoming your best self. There are many ways to get involved. You can make new friends by attending campus events like BestFest or Fiesta UTSA, or go get hyped at our division one sporting events. Maybe joining an organization is what you’re looking for. Student orgs are a great way to get plugged in because they are great practice for the “real world.” When we graduate and go job hunting, employers who are hiring college graduates are looking for a number of attributes. Among them are communication skills, ability to work in a team, problem-solving, and leadership. You will gain those precise skills by joining a student organization on campus. Go to UTSA.edu/Rowdylink to learn more about the over 360 students orgs that are waiting for you to visit. Here are some great organizations to get plugged into depending on what you’re interested in:
