The Roadrunners (3-8, 1-1 SLC) took the early 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches against the Lions (10-4, 2-1).

In singles action, UTSA won four of the six matches to clinch the match.

Freshman Daniel Moreiras put UTSA up 2-0 when he came off the court at the No. 6 position with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Jakub Kwasniewicz. Southeastern Louisiana then won back-to-back matches at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots to tie the match at two.

Senior Adam Becker’s win at the No. 5 slot (7-6, 7-6) gave the Roadrunners a 3-2 edge. UTSA then clinched the match when Matthieu Leboucher of SLU retired at the top spot. Also in action was sophomore Rodrigo Morgado, who won a tough three-set match at the No. 2 slot. Morgado fell 6-1 in the first set but recovered to win the next two, 6-3, 6-2.
