Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a man who was untouchable for years by threatening those who threatened his empire. That was until he was finally arrested on Sept. 16, charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Since November of last year, Combs has been in the spotlight for several lawsuits involving sexual assault and misconduct. A few months later, investigators raided Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes where the evidence against Combs was found.
In his home, authorities found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, IV fluid and narcotics supplies used for his sickening “Freak Offs” where he would manipulate people into participating in sexual acts. These were full productions; he would transport sex workers across state lines or international borders, distribute drugs to his victims and film them without their knowledge and consent as they engaged in sexual acts. If a victim were to be injured, Combs’ Enterprise would be there to protect him by preventing the victim from leaving the home or hotel for days at a time.
Comb’s influence early in his career gave him access to young celebrities with whom he would have extremely inappropriate relations under the disguise of a mentorship. He lived with Usher when he was 23 and Usher — who just entered the music scene — was only 14. Years later, he began a similar relationship with Justin Bieber who was only 15 at the time and was being brought to Combs’ perverse parties.
Since his arrest, more people have begun to speak out against the horrendous things Combs’ has done to them and their loved ones, including physical harm, financial threats and suppressing or advancing the careers of his victims. His arrest seemingly brought a wave of panic over other celebrities, who are evidently wiping their accounts of anything related to Combs. Among them are Usher, Pink and Steve Harvey who have realized the monster they have been hiding behind can no longer protect them. They have removed any support for him to hide the truth that they have been involved with Combs’ and his actions.
Combs, despite mountains of evidence and confessions, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was denied bail and is in jail awaiting his trial scheduled for Oct. 9. Combs’ reign over the music industry must come to an end to protect those who have spoken out against him and those who are just starting their music careers. The world must witness the fall of Combs’ empire.
