Japanese indie-pop band, Lamp, embarked on their North American tour, “Future Behind Me,” in promotion of their latest album, “Dusk to Dawn.” The band is composed of three members: guitarist Taiyo Someya and vocalists Yusuke Nagai and Kaori Sakakibara. The three are accompanied by supporting live performance members. Originally, the band was slated to perform at Scoot Inn, but was moved to Stubb’s Amphitheater due to the overwhelming demand for tickets in Austin.
From start to finish, the audience was captivated by their welcoming presence on stage. Despite the language barrier between the band and the crowd, the band made a notable effort to converse in English and express their gratitude and love for their support. Lamp performed popular songs like “For Lovers” and “Hatachi No Koi” that were fan-favorites.
