Nothing says autumn better than the sight of pumpkins, surrounded by the leaves falling from the trees as a sign of a changing season. What is better than to acknowledge this passage of time with a pumpkin patch? The San Antonio Pumpkin Festival is no doubt the perfect spot to take festive pictures during this season.
From the moment that people get inside, they cannot ignore the center of the event, with the largest orange bouncing pumpkin for kids to jump in. Around said centerpiece of the event, there is a small red train that gives rides throughout the day, becoming a fan favorite for families with small children. It is a great spot to hang out — as people walk around they can see a carousel giving rides to everyone throughout the day, two replicas of the Alamo, food trucks, live music, games and tables to sit at and enjoy the sight of fall.
The most impressive attraction is the corn pit. Picture this, a slide that gets to a large area full of a large amount of corn grains. Just corn grains to walk around in, play with, lay in. People were doing exactly that, with kids and friend groups having the most fun out of it.
The main reason everyone goes is the pumpkin patch. Event-goers take pictures with the different setups of pumpkins, as some are painted, others are on shelves with the shape of houses, next to a giant tippi or simply hundreds of them lying around throughout the whole place.
The event is located on Broadway, next to The Pearl. It is happening every day until Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On weekdays the tickets are $15 per person, and on weekends, due to high demand, the prices increase to $22. It is definitely an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to celebrate the arrival of fall, create memories and take pictures with their family and friends.
