In compliance with the Clery Act, UTSA keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends premiered from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1.
Sexual Assault
On Friday, Nov. 1, a sexual assault was reported from Chaparral Village at 3:19 a.m. The case remains active.
Possession and Consumption of Alcohol By Minors
On Friday, Oct. 25, a report was made regarding two counts of consumption of alcohol by a minor. The report was made at Chaparral Village and was cleared by arrest. The next day, the same report was made at University Oaks Phase 1, recording four counts of the same offense. This case was cleared by arrest. That night, a report was made at Chaparral Village regarding a minor in possession of alcohol, recording five counts of the offense. This case was closed by exceptional means, meaning “the agency must have identified the offender, gathered enough evidence to support an arrest, make a charge, and turn over the offender to the court for prosecution.”
On Sunday, Oct. 27, another report was made at University Oaks Phase 2 regarding consumption of alcohol by a minor. The minor committed two counts of the offense, and the case was closed the next day by exceptional means. On Friday, Nov. 1, consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported again, including an offense of driving under the influence. This case was reported on Bosque St. and it was cleared by arrest.
Unlawful Disclosure or Promotion of Intimate Visual Material
On Sunday, Oct. 27, an offense was reported from Chisholm Hall regarding unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material. The case remains an open incident.
Vehicle Burglary
On Sunday, Oct. 27, the burglary of a vehicle was reported from Resident Lot 2 on campus. The same crime was reported another two times that day. One was reported from the same parking lot, and then later reported from Tobin Ave. All cases remain active.
Assault
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, an assault was reported from Laurel Village. The assault was by contact, from dating violence. The case remains active.
