In compliance with the Clery Act, UTSA keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends premiered from Nov. 9 to Nov. 13.
Assault
On Monday, Nov. 11, an assault was reported from Chaparral Village. The offense was an assault by threat, meaning someone has intentionally threatened another person with “imminent bodily injury.” The case remains active. On Wednesday, Nov. 13, an assault was reported from University Oaks Phase 1. The case included bodily injury by family violence, unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material and criminal mischief amounting to $100-$749.99. This case was cleared by arrest.
Driving Under the Influence and Driving While Intoxicated
On Sunday, Nov. 10, a Driving Under the Influence offense by a minor was reported at Campus Edge Apartments, a local apartment complex off-campus. The case was closed by exceptional means, meaning that elements beyond law enforcement’s control have prevented a formal arrest and charge from being made for the offender. On Monday, Nov. 11, a Driving While Intoxicated offense was reported on the Loop 1604 access road. The offense included an accident involving damage to the vehicle, DWI with an open container and evading arrest. This case remains active.
Criminal Mischief
On Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 2:29 p.m., criminal mischief was reported from University Oaks Building 11. The damages amounted to $100-$749.99. This case remains active.
Disturbance
On Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8:47 a.m., a disturbance was reported from Brackenridge Ave. Lot 1. The case is now inactive.
