UTSA men’s cross country had a quiet season with only two seniors on the roster and a healthy dose of underclassmen competing. The Roadrunners did win three straight team championship events with first place finishes at the TLU Invitational, the UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic, and the Grass Routes Grand Prix.
“We kind of had a little bit of a rebuilding year this year in cross country so we’re going to build off that going into CUSA next year,” UTSA Director of the cross country teams Aaron Fox said. “We had kind of a tough year with that but we got those guys some experience and that’s really going to help us out heading into CUSA next year.”
Sophomore Mike Medrano took home three individual titles to pace the team and was named WAC Athlete of the Week in September for his win at the UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic.
