Women’s track and field team indoors broke some records and narrowly missed winning the WAC title. The Roadrunners are fortunate to have a large amount of their roster returning as they prepare for Conference USA.
“On the women’s side (indoors), we just missed the WAC title on that one as well by a couple of points,” UTSA Director of track and field Aaron Fox said. “We have a majority of our team coming back next year going into Conference USA as well. It’s the same kind of situation as cross country that we just missed it and they’re going to be very motivated to want to win a championship right away in CUSA because of that.”
The Roadrunners outdoor team won the Texas State Elite event in March and had a solid fourth place finish in the WAC Conference championships. Senior Eboni Johnson took an individual title in the triple jump, helping UTSA capture their 61st individual relay crown in the program history.
