UTSA women’s soccer dealt with the growing pains of the move to a new conference with a 3-12-2 record. The Roadrunners claimed conference victories over New Mexico State and San Jose State.
“I’m proud of the way our team competed and continued to improve each week. The experiences that we gained from this season will help us in the future as we look forward to competing in Conference USA,” UTSA head soccer coach Steve Ballard said. “Also, our team was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America with its Team Academic Award for the sixth consecutive season, which speaks to the hard work of our players in the classroom as well.”
Leading the way for UTSA was junior forward Maria Jose Rojas who scored four goals on the season along with three assists and earned a spots on the All-Western Athletic Conference second team.
