The UTSA volleyball team had a strong showing in their only WAC season. The Roadrunners won eight straight games to end the season before falling to Idaho in the WAC semifinal.
“I thought we had a great season. We had a disappointing ending, especially knowing that we were so close to winning the WAC Tournament and making another appearance in the NCAA Tournament. However, the abrupt ending motivated us this spring to get ready for next year,” UTSA volleyball head coach Laura Neugebauer-Groff said. “We did a good job of battling new opponents in a new league last fall and for us to finish in a tie for second place in the WAC is a testament to where our program is right now. We are looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead in Conference USA.”
The ‘Runners were able to finish with a 21-9 overall record and 13-5 record in the conference. Senior McKenzie Adams, who led the Roadrunners in multiple statistics, will lead UTSA into the Conference USA era.
