The UTSA Athletics Department announced today that the volleyball program would be cancelling its planned matches on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29 against Tulane University due to COVID-19 concerns within the program. News of the cancellation comes after UTSA split its opening two games of the season against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, despite only playing with ten players due to varying circumstances. With the two matches being cancelled, UTSA’s next match is slated for Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. in their home opener against the University of the Incarnate Word in a local San Antonio battle.
