Golden Rose

Golden+Rose

My golden rose in the darkest hour

Lighting my world for hours

You cling to my side

A companion instead of I

The kindest of which I have the blessing to encounter

We hike trails

Run in the night

And eat foods of glorious kinds

But none of it compares to what’s inside

Golden and gleaming

Nothing cold resides

Though you may never read my words,

It’s nothing short of writing that you are the best golden-doodle in my eyes.
