Laynie Clark, News Editor
Laynie (she/her) is a third-year Psychology major with a minor in Nonprofit Management. She is passionate about mental health awareness and joined The Paisano in the spring of 2021 to share her passion with others. After graduation, she plans to return to school for her master’s, and just figure out the rest as it happens. When she is not swamped with school, you can always find her reading cheesy romance novels or driving around aimlessly. In addition to her love for cheesy romance novels, Laynie has a mild addiction to all things Marvel-related and has written countless reviews to prove it.
Genevieve Vega, Staff Writer
Genevieve (she/her) is a second-year Biomedical Engineering student. After graduating, she plans on attending graduate school for Biomedical Engineering. She joined The Paisano in Fall 2022. In her free time she enjoys being with family and friends, doing arts and crafts, reading and watching TV.
Ruben Solis, Graphic Artist
Ruben Santiago Solis (He/Him) is a Junior at UTSA Majoring in finance. It is his second year with the Paisano and his first as a staff member. Contributing for graphics comes naturally to him due to his background in design. Before graduating he plans on working for the City of San Antonio’s historical preservation department. On summer days you can find him on the water with a fishing rod in one hand and a book in the other.
William Barnes, Multimedia Editor
William is a fourth-year student majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in health science and a minor in psychology. He has been with the Paisano ever since he came to UTSA and has worked his way up from a contributor to becoming the multimedia editor in the fall of 2023. Alongside his dedication to producing captivating multimedia content, William joined the Paisano with the goal of making a positive impact on the community by increasing awareness about campus life and news around San Antonio. In his free time, he likes exploring the city, reading about philosophy and binge-watching shows and anime.
