William Barnes, Multimedia Editor

William is a senior majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in health science and has a passion for both science and multimedia journalism. During his time with The Paisano he has worked his way up to becoming the Multimedia Editor and wishes to make a difference in the community by spreading awareness about campus life and news. In his free time he also likes learning philosophy, watching documentaries, and volunteering.

Jake Mireles, Opinion Editor

Jake (He/Him) is a second-year political science major at UTSA. Originally from Austin, he plans to move anywhere but Texas after graduation. If he is not climbing out from under a mountain of homework, you can usually find him listening to podcasts, playing saxophone or being an avid napper. This is his third-semester writing for the Paisano and his second semester serving as the Opinion Editor. He is excited for many to come while he explores a possible career path in journalism.

Allana Llabres, Assistant Social Media Manager

Allana (she/her) is a first-year Medical Humanities major at UTSA. Beyond graduation she plans to attend the UT Health School of Dentistry. When she’s not doing homework you can find her making jewelry or hanging out with friends. This is her first semester with the Paisano.

Genevieve Vega, Assistant Multimedia Editor

Genevieve (she/her) is a second-year Biomedical Engineering student. After graduating, she plans on attending graduate school for Biomedical Engineering. She joined The Paisano in Fall 2022. In her free time she enjoys being with family and friends, doing arts and crafts, reading and watching tv.
