Chick-fil-A has filed plans for a new $4.5 million restaurant less than a mile from UTSA’s main campus in Northwest San Antonio on April 15. The new restaurant will span 5,042 square feet, and construction is planned to begin in January 2026. This project will be completed by June 2026, according to the filing made to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The work done will be a ground up construction of a quick service restaurant with a drive-thru and stand alone canopies.
This restaurant will be located in the Roadrunner Creek shopping center at the intersection of UTSA Boulevard and UTex Boulevard. Other popular spots around the area are Insomnia Cookies, Smokey Mo’s and Chicken Salad Chick. Chick-fil-A is an Atlanta based chicken chain that has expanded all through the U.S. This new location will be the chain’s 37th in San Antonio.
