The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the university’s former Daily Crime Log and Fire Report and the new Mapping Portal System, showcasing the trends that occurred from April 20-26.
Assist Outside Agency-Outstanding Warrant
The UT San Antonio Police Department assisted an outside agency in responding to an outstanding warrant and driving while intoxicated offense. The incident was reported on April 20 at 1:31 a.m. at Laurel Village; it continued until 2:02 a.m. The case was cleared by arrest.
Larceny/Theft
Two instances of theft were reported at UTSA Circle, and both cases remain active.
The first was reported on April 21 at 9:07 a.m. It occurred between April 19 at noon and April 21 at 9:32 a.m. The estimated value of the stolen property is less than $100.
The second instance was reported to UTSAPD on April 23 at 11:17 a.m. It occurred from the report time until 11:43 a.m. The estimated value of the stolen property ranges between $100-$749.99.
Driving While Intoxicated
A driving while intoxicated offense was reported on April 22 at 2:16 a.m. The incident took place from the report time until 2:48 a.m. The exact location of the offense is unclear, as the listed address reads, “5500 block of N. Loop 1604 W., EASTBOUND BY PNC BANK,” but the ARMS Incident Map displays the offense occurring on Main Campus along the N Loop 1604 W access road, just before the Walter Brenan Ave and Loop 1604 intersection. The incident was cleared by arrest.
