In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from March 23-29.

Criminal Mischief

A case of criminal mischief was reported on March 23 at 7:37 a.m. at the East Campus Lots. The criminal offense approximated between $100-$749.99  in damages. It occurred from the time it was reported until 8 a.m. This case remains active.

Assault Offense

There were two separate charges of assault by contact that were both cleared by arrest. The first case was reported at Bauerle Rd. Lot 2 on March 25 at 6:40 p.m. The case occurred until 7:20 p.m..

The second report was logged on March 27 and occurred the same day at 3:04 a.m. in the John Peace Library. The assault ended at 3:39 a.m..

Stalking 

A case of stalking took place at University Oaks Apartments. The incident was reported on March 24 at 1:27 p.m. The case did not include the date or time the incident occurred from.

Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana 

There were two reports of possession of illegal substances on March 25 and 26. Both cases were closed by exceptional means, indicating elements beyond UT San Antonio Police Department’s control prevented them from arresting and formally charging the offender.

The first case includes one offense of possession of a controlled substance, along with an offense of possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. This crime occurred at Tobin Ave. and Cook Dr. from 11:55 p.m. on March 25 to 12:35 a.m. the following day.

The second report includes one offense of possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and occurred at theUniversity Oaks Apartments on March 26 from 2:51-3:16 a.m. 

Larceny/Theft 

Larceny/theft was reported on March 26 from 1:20-1:40 p.m. in Laurel Village. The estimated theft value is less than $100. The disposition is still active.
