Sopapilla Cheesecake

Recipe by Lizette Tavares (UTSA Honors College Student)

Bake Time: 30-45 minutes

Ingredients:

-3 eight ounce cream cheese blocks

-1 1/2 cup of sugar

-1/2 stick of unsalted butter

-3 tablespoons of Cinnamon

-1 container of crescent rolls

-1 tablespoon of vanilla extract or honey as a substitute

Instructions:

1.) Leave out cream cheese blocks to soften

2.) Add a cup on sugar to softened cream cheese

3.) Add a tablespoon of vanilla extract or honey

4.) Add two tablespoons of cinnamon and mix

5.) Unroll your crescent roll onto an oven safe baking dish

6.) Melt half a stick of butter with a tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of sugar

7.) Spread out your cheesecake mixture over the crescent rolls

8.) Add your cinnamon sugar butter mixture on top and spread evenly

9.) Pre-heat your oven to 350

10.) Sprinkle remaining sugar and cinnamon on top and bake cheesecake for 30-35 minutes

11.) Refrigerate for at least two hours or over night before serving
