Kaitlyn is a fourth-year digital communication major with minors in film and professional writing. She is no stranger to the world of storytelling and truth-seeking. Kaitlyn has a background in short-filmmaking when she attended a competitive magnet school for the arts in San Antonio. At 18, she directed a short documentary that was screened from San Antonio to Austin and even gained a nomination for “Best Documentary” during its short sprint across Texas. She feels most in her element when she can be creative, whether it is painting her thoughts figuratively, taking photos on her camera, or whipping up a video production on Premiere Pro. The Paisano has given Kaitlyn the palette to express digital storytelling in a way she never experienced while perfecting her craft for her future career.
