Chocolate Oreo Parfait
Recipe by Brittany Gidney (UTSA Honors College Student)

10-12 Oreos
1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Bar Semi-Sweet Chocolate


1. Fill a saucepan with water and place a bowl over it. Heat the stove to medium-high heat.
2. Cut your chocolate bar into chunks and place it into the bowl on the stove.
3. Add ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream to the bowl and stir often, until melted.
4. Remove the bowl from heat and let it cool.
5. Add 2 cups of heavy cream into a stand mixer, beat on high until stiff peaks are formed.
6. Fold the resulting whipped cream into the cooled melted chocolate in 3 equal additions until fully incorporated.
7. Add Oreos into a Ziploc bag and crush them (you can use a rolling pin to facilitate this).
8. Add crushed Oreos into a jar and layer with the chocolate whipped cream. Keep alternating between layers until you are satisfied with the result.
9. Finish off with crushed Oreos and an extra oreo on top for garnish.
10. Enjoy!
