In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.
Assault
An incident involving assault by contact occurred at the Bus Oval on Main Campus on Oct. 28 at 9:14 p.m. The case has been closed by exceptional means, indicating elements beyond UTSAPD’s control prevented them from arresting and formally charging the offender.
Consumption of alcohol by a minor
Consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported in the Main Building on Oct. 29 at 12:34 a.m. Those involved were charged with two counts of consumption of alcohol by a minor, two counts of possession of alcohol by a minor and one count of possession, purchase, consumption or receipt of cigarettes or E-Cigarettes. The case was closed by exceptional means.
A separate instance of consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported on Bauerle Road on Oct. 30 at 12:47 a.m. Those involved were charged with three counts of consumption of alcohol by a minor, one count of driving while intoxicated and one count of possession, purchase, consumption or receipt of cigarettes or E-Cigarettes. The case was closed by arrest.
Another instance of consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported at the Laurel Village Lot on Oct. 31 at 1:21 a.m. Those involved were charged with one count of consumption of alcohol by a minor. The case remains active.
Larceny
Two instances of larceny between $100-$749.99 were reported at Bauerle Road Lot 2. The first instance occurred on Oct. 28 at 12:43 a.m. The second instance occurred on the same day at 1:08 a.m. Both cases remain active.
Possession of marijuana
Possession of marijuana was reported at Barshop Boulevard Lot 1 on Oct. 31 at 12:35 a.m. Those involved were charged with one count of possession of marijuana less than 2 oz, and one count of possession, purchase, consumption or receipt of cigarettes or E-Cigarettes. The case was closed by exceptional means.
Striking an unattended vehicle
An instance of striking an unattended vehicle was reported on Oct. 28 at 7 a.m. The incident occurred from 6:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 27. The case remains active at the time of reporting.
