In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from Nov. 17-23.
Traffic offense
A traffic offense took place with a driver displaying a wrong, fictitious, altered or obscured license plate was stopped at Brackenridge Ave. Lot 2 on Nov. 17 at 7:20 a.m. The case was cleared by arrest.
Theft
Theft of property with an estimated value of $100-$749.99 was reported at Chisholm Hall on Nov. 17 at 1:37 p.m. It took place on Nov. 15 between 5:54 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. the next day. The case remains active.
Another theft valued at less than $100 occurred at the Sombrilla on Nov. 17 between 3:01-3:57 p.m. The case was cleared by arrest.
Three separate thefts allegedly worth $100-$749.99 were reported on Nov. 18 at the North Paseo Building, the Engineering Building and Chaparral Village. All remain active.
Two more thefts were reported on Nov. 19: one valued under $100 at the Student Union Building, and one valued between $100-$749.99 at Chisholm Hall. Both remain active.
Another theft, occurring at the Recreation Center on Nov. 19 from 6:20-9:17 p.m., is estimated between $100-$749.99. The case remains active.
A theft valued at $750-$2499, accompanied by criminal mischief under $100 at Chaparral Village, was reported on Nov. 20 at 6:52 a.m. The offenses occurred between Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 7:20 a.m. The case remains active.
Public intoxication
A public intoxication incident was reported at University Oaks Phase 1 on Nov. 18 at 12:16 a.m. The case was closed by exceptional means, indicating elements beyond UTSAPD’s control prevented them from arresting and formally charging the offender.
Burglary of a building
A burglary of a building was reported at the John Peace Library on Nov. 18 at 2:38. It occurred until 3:02 a.m. The case was closed by exceptional means.
Two additional burglaries of buildings occurred on West Campus on Nov. 19 from 7:45-8:04 a.m. Both cases were cleared by arrest.
Alcohol violations
A minor in possession of alcohol offense was cited at Chaparral Village on Nov. 18 at 11:56 a.m. The case was closed by exceptional means.
Assist outside agency
The UT San Antonio Police Department assisted an outside agency in an outstanding warrant incident. It took place in Resident Lot 4 on Nov. 19 from 12:03-12:47 a.m. The case was cleared by arrest.
Indecent exposure
A case of indecent exposure was reported at Guadalupe Hall on Nov. 19 at 11:56 a.m. It occurred between Nov. 18 at 2:10 p.m. to 10:55 a.m. the next day. The case remains active.
Fondling
Fondling was reported at the McKinney Humanities Building on Nov. 20 at 11:21 a.m. The incident occurred on Nov. 12 between 2:30-3 p.m. The case is closed.
Organizational hazing
An organizational hazing incident was reported at the Bosque St. Building on Nov. 20 at 2:05 p.m. The incident occurred on Feb. 28 from midnight to noon. The case remains active.
Terroristic threat
A terrorist threat was reported at the Roadrunner Academic Center of Excellence on Nov. 20 and took place between 3:43-3:48 p.m. The case remains active.
Fraud
Fraud was reported at the Bosque St. Building on Nov. 20; it was reported at and took place from 4:15-4:41 p.m. The case remains active.
