In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from Jan. 19-25.
Motor Vehicle Theft
A motor theft was reported to the UT San Antonio Police Department on Jan. 19 at 11:04 a.m. The offense took place in Resident Lot 4 from 5:09-5:26 a.m. The case remains active.
Larceny/Theft
There were four separate instances of larceny/theft reported on Main Campus. All cases remain active.
The first case occurred in the Science and Engineering Building on Jan. 20 from 2:30-3:45 p.m. It was reported soon after at 4:43 p.m. The stolen property has an estimated value between $100 and $749.99.
The second was reported on the same day at 5:21 p.m. and shares an estimated value. It took place in the McKinney Humanities Building from 2:15-4:30 p.m.
The third was reported on Jan. 20 as well. It began at 11:59 p.m. and ended on Jan. 21 at 12:50 a.m. This instance occurred at the John Peace Library, and the stolen property has an estimated value under $100.
The final instance was reported on Jan. 21 at 9:05 a.m. It spanned from Dec. 10 at 8 a.m. to Jan. 21 at 9:42 a.m. in Chisholm Hall. The stolen property has an estimated value between $100 and $749.99.
Harassment
A harassment offense took place on Jan. 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:01 p.m. at Chaparral Village. The report was made at 6:35 p.m., and the case remains active.
Impersonating a Public Servant
UTSAPD received a report of impersonating a public servant on Jan. 21 at 1:06 p.m. It occurred from Dec. 14 at 11:17 p.m. to Jan. 21 at 2:14 p.m. in the North Paseo Building. The case remains active.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
At University Oaks Phase 1, a case involving the consumption of alcohol by a minor and furnishing alcohol to minors was cleared by arrest. The incident took place on Jan. 23 from 1:14-2:23 a.m.
