In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from Feb. 8-14.
Larceny/Theft
There were five separate reports of larceny/theft.
The case was first reported on Feb. 9 at 2:51 a.m. The offence was on Feb. 9 and took place at Chaparral Village. This is an active case with an estimated value of $100-$749.99 stolen.
The second case was theft of personal property and occurred at the John Peace Library. This instance was reported on Feb. 9 at 9:55 a.m. and occurred on Feb. 1 from 2-2:30 p.m. This case remains active.
The third larceny/theft incident has a forgery offense and an estimated value of $100-$749.99. It occurred at Chaparral Village from 6:00 a.m. Feb. 9 to 6:47 p.m. on Feb. 10. The case was reported on Feb. 10 at 5:56 p.m. and remains active.
On Feb. 11, the remaining two instances of larceny/theft were reported. The first case was reported at 1:02 p.m. and occurred at the Convocation Center on Feb. 10 from 6:45-9:00 p.m. The theft value was less than $100, and the case has been closed by exceptional means, indicating elements beyond UTSAPD’s control prevented them from arresting and formally charging the offender. The second instance was reported at 2:28 p.m. and took place at the Tobin Avenue Garage from Feb. 10 at 10:33 p.m. to Feb.11 at 1:20 p.m. with a theft of $100-$749.99. This case remains active.
Harassment
Harassment was reported on Feb. 11 at 12:59 a.m. The incident occurred on Feb. 11 from 12:59-1:43 a.m. at Alvarez Residence Hall and was closed by exceptional means.
Stalking
A stalking offence was reported on Feb. 11 at 10:24 a.m. This occurred on campus on Feb. 4 from 12:00 a.m.-11:59 p.m and is a closed case.
Disorderly Conduct/ Terroristic Threat
There was a report of disorderly conduct and terroristic threats on Feb. at 6:32 p.m. This occurred on Feb.12 from 5-5:30 p.m on Brenan Avenue, and there is no reported disposition.
Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle
At Resident Lot Five, a duty on striking an unattended vehicle occurred on Feb. 12 from 8:22-8:30 p.m. This case was reported on Feb. 12 at 8:22 p.m., and there is no reported disposition.
Consumption of alcohol by a minor
On Feb. 13 at 12:15 a.m. at Laurel Village Building Five, consumption of alcohol by a minor was reported with seven counts. This instance occurred from 12:15 -12:32 a.m. and has been closed by exceptional means.
Unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material
Unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material was reported on campus at the activity center on Feb. 13 at 3:59 a.m. This instance occurred on Feb. 13 from 1-3 a.m., and the case remains active.
