In compliance with the Clery Act, UT San Antonio keeps a daily crime log for all on-campus crimes. The log summarizes the case’s date, time, location, incident and current status. The crimes detailed below are taken directly from the crime log, showcasing the trends that occurred from Feb. 23 to March 1.
Criminal Mischief
There were three separate reported cases of criminal mischief on Main Campus.
The first case was reported at 12:49 a.m. Criminal mischief amounting between $100-$749.99 in damages and criminal trespassing were reported at Barshop Boulevard Lot 1. This instance occurred from Feb. 22 at 11:20 p.m. to Feb. 23 at 1:17 a.m. This case remains active.
The second case was reported at 2:28 a.m. and amounted to less than $100 in damages. Burglary of a vehicle took place as well. This instance occurred at Barshop Boulevard Lot 1 on Feb. 22 from 11:30-11:40 p.m. This case remains active.
A third instance of criminal mischief was reported on Feb. 24 at 12:48 p.m. It amounted between $750-$2499.99 in damages. The case took place at Bauerle Road Lot 1 From 9:20 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. This case remains active.
Burglary of a Vehicle
Four cases of Burglary of a vehicle were reported on Feb 23, and all cases remain active. The first, reported at 2:03 a.m., occurred at Barshop Boulevard Lot 1 between 11:34-11:41 p.m. The remaining cases took place at University Oaks.
The first University Oaks case was reported at 9:21 a.m. It occurred from Feb. 22 at 8:30 p.m. to Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. at Building 35. The next case was reported at 11:36 a.m. It lasted from 12:01-2 a.m. at Building 36. The final case was reported at 12:33 p.m. and lasted from Feb. 22 at 10 p.m. to Feb. 23 at 9:46 a.m. The building was not specified.
Larceny/theft
There were seven reports of larceny/theft. All seven cases remain active, and all but the final case estimate the value of the stolen property to be between $100-$749.99.
The first case was reported on Feb. 23 at 4:20 p.m. at Alvarez Residence Hall. It lasted from 4:20-8:46 p.m. the same day.
The second was reported on Feb. 23 as well at 5:09 p.m. It took place on the Main Campus between Feb. 20 at noon to Feb. 23 at 5:39 p.m.
The third larceny/theft offense reported on Feb. 23 at 7:03 p.m. took place at the Recreation Center from 6:40-7:31 p.m.
On Feb. 24 at 10:09 a.m., another theft was reported at the Recreation Center. This case occurred on Feb. 23 and lasted from 12-3 p.m.
The next instance was reported on the same day at 8:54 p.m. It took place at the Business Building from 7:30-8:45 p.m.
The sixth case took place at the Recreation Center as well. It was reported on Feb. 25 at 11:57 a.m. and took place on Feb. 24 from 5-7 p.m.
The final case of larceny/theft was reported at the Roadrunner Academic Center of Excellence on the same day at 11:57 a.m. The value of the stolen property was estimated at less than $100. This instance lasted from Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. to Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
Stalking
Three cases of stalking were reported on the Main Campus. All three cases have been closed. The first was reported on Feb. 24 at 2:07 p.m. This case began on Feb. 9 at 12 a.m. and lasted until Feb. 23 at 6 p.m.
The second was reported on Feb. 25 at 9:01a.m and took place on Feb. 9 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
The final case was reported on Feb. 25 at 9:16 a.m. and took place on Feb. 21 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor was reported on Feb. 25 at 3:33 a.m. This occurred from 3:33-4 a.m. at Brackenridge Avenue Lot 1 and has been cleared by arrest.
Violation of Certain Court Orders or Conditions of Bond
Violation of Certain Court Orders or Conditions of Bond was reported on Feb. 25 at 3:22 p.m. This case took place from 3:22-4:03 p.m. at the Devine Lot and remains active.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
Three counts of consumption of alcohol by a minor and two counts of minor in possession of alcohol were reported on Feb. 27 at Blanco Hall at 3:58 a.m. These cases took place from 3:38-4:33 a.m. and have been closed by exceptional means, indicating elements beyond UT San Antonio Police Department’s control prevented them from arresting and formally charging the offender.
Assault by contact
An assault by contact dating violence case was reported on Feb. 27 at 8:50 a.m. This instance took place at Main Campus on Feb. 21 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. This case has been closed.
