Aramis Santiago, Assistant Sports Editor
Aramis Santiago is a 24-year-old junior communications major at UTSA with a deep passion for sports, particularly football and basketball. He currently writes for The Paisano and contributes to FanSided and The Lead, where he is sharpening his craft as a sports journalist. His dream is to one day work for a major sports media outlet such as ESPN, Fox, CBS or The Athletic, where he can continue to write and talk about the sports he loves.
Outside of school and work, Aramis enjoys working out, watching sports, spending time with friends, listening to music, playing video games and reading. His favorite music genres include R&B, reggaeton and hip-hop, and he enjoys trying food from anywhere. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, in 2000, Aramis moved to Baltimore, Maryland, with his family in 2006 before settling in San Antonio, Texas, in 2010.
